HOMEWORK FOR THURS, JULY 23rd

We’re going to skip some pages about Cholly’s early childhood, but you need to know that he was abandoned by his mother and father, when he was a baby, and adopted by his Aunt Jimmy, who died when he is 11-12. He knows his father’s name, where he ran off to, and wants to find him. You are starting the reading at the point where Aunt Jimmy dies.

HOMEWORK: skip pgs. 132-142 (start reading on 143, at “Cholly had not yet fully realized his aunt was dead”).  Read to the bottom of 153, taking notes on what we learn/understand about Cholly, from his experiences as an adolescent.
